  •  6/28 Feature Started 6th
  • Finished 7th
  • Heat finished 3rd

We arrived to the track a little late because of traffic, The day was hot and humid this week. We felt pretty good about our chance's this week because of the changes we made in the shop this week.

First round of practice went well with the car being a touch loose on entry and exit. We were 4th quickest We made a pocket ajustment.

Second round was even better, but the car was still loose on exit. We were overall the 5th fastest at that point.

Heat. The heat race was just the normal. Green to checkers we wound up finishing in the 3rd spot which seem pretty good for our handicapping to put us right up front for the feature.

Feature. As are original starting spot of 6th was moved to 5th ( because of the 2 droping to the rear). Top 5 started 52,93,04,34,51. When the green flag flew i was being careful because of the car that were in front of me and making sure nothing would happen. Only our luck we started to get brought backwards because of the 1st and 3rd place cars. The car felt really good the first 7 laps, but we really couldn't use it. By the time we got to the outside to start making passes we were in 13th. With 13 to go the 21 blew up sending the 04 21 25 57 spining. We restarted 10th. As the race went on the car seemed to be faster and faster we made many moves on the outside to try to regain were we were. with 6 laps to go something happened up front with the 05 sending him all over the track. We barely made it through. After that it went to the end the 51 was 5 fastest tonight and the chassis setup was on. the last 2 laps to go we tryed to make a move on the 93 with 6th but just ran out of laps. Overall it was a great race and look to see us up front for the pepsi 300.

  • 6/14 Feature.... Rain out
  • 51
  • Heat started 2nd Finished 3rd

This week was a much better week for the whole racing sence. The temps were int he mid 80 with no humidity. The threat of rain was all day long, with severe storms for the evening forcast. The 51 practices rounds went well. Little loose off. We were consitanly 6th fastest overall. We make a few changes to the car for the heat.

The heat race was pretty eventfull. The 51 started outside pole on the 04. When the green flew we got a pretty good jump and pulled out about half a car on the 04. Came into 1 and 2 good come downt he back strech and when I looked in the mirror to see if i was clear i must def thought it was close. I cut down the 04 was still there. I thought as if i would get some room and i didnt. the 04 and 51 came together in 3 and spun. WE restarted last and ran to the front right behind the 05 and that were we finished. Great heat run. The features had gotten rained out

  •  6/7 Feature Started 4th finished 13th
  • 50,05,12,91,11,17,3,94,1,04,52,2,51,57,82,25,9,34,53,6,93
  • Heat started 2nd finished 3rd

So to started this week of it wasn't the best. The temp. was around 95 and mark doesn't do well with the heat. Practice round were pretty good. The 51 was 6th fastest  on the first round and 7th on the second round. Our setup was a little different this week because of the good year rubber on the track from the ACT race. We knew that the track and the heat was going to make the car a bit snug on exit. Both practice rounds the car seem pretty good just a touch loose.  After the second round of practice mark seem not feeling well which wasn't a good sign. He almost passed out because of the heat. WE were goin to elect to go to the rear in the heat but our starting spot we had to stay. The heat was unevent full and the 51 fell in behind the 34 and ran to a 3rd place finish.

The feature race seemed like it would be a good one. With tempeture in the low 80's it was a good night for racing. The 51 started in the 4th spot behind the 04. When the green flag flew  the 51 pushed the 04 out front and into 3rd. With 5 or so laps in the 04 started to spin , so instead of taking her out mark checked up and it seemed as if the 9 and or the 1 did not and turn us around coming out of 2 and slammed hard into the back strech wall. The argument of the day was if the 9 didnt check up and pushed the 51 or the 1 car just push the 9 into the 51 with no respect of other race's. Either case the end result was a few destroyed race cars the 51 had wrecked a rear clip and it looked as if the 9 suffered severe front end damage. Not a good thing only 5 laps in. So anyways thanks to Panaroni's great crew we were able to get back out and get some points, considering we were 5th in points. We came back from 21st to 13 in 11 laps so over all it was a good come back and we'll be in the shop a bunch this week. Look for the 51 back in top fashion next week.

  • 5/31 Feature Started 16th finished 5th
  • 11,12,05,91,51,39,9,2,17,34,04,3,94,93,52,25,50,21,1,82
  • Heat started 3rd finshed 9th

We started are racing a little early this week with a practice on thursday which was needed pretty bad.  The week before the car was really out to lunch and not handling the way we wanted. We chose to change a bunch of this for this weekend. The practice was very good for the car and driver. We learned alot about the car.

As we unloaded the car this weekend we were gloomy about the weather. The weather threaten all day long and getting the best of the bowl in lap 23 of the late model race. 1 round of practice was pretty much uneventful being 6th fastest on the time sheets. Car was loose on exit. We came in to make some changes and to our dismay i saw gear oil leaking onto the wheel on the RR. Not a good sign. So we rush around and come to find out the seal let loose on it causing gear oil to pour out the RR. We looked for a seal for hours until the 2 and the 04 found some they had. thanks guys. we missed 2nd round of practice.

The heat race was also uneventful. Starting the 3rd spot, behind the 91. The 91 seemed off his setup and we road to the back of the pack were we finshed in 9th

Feature was a action packed one at that. Too bad no many people in the stand because of the weather. Green flag flew and it was bump and grind for 4 laps until lap 16 when the 21 went hard into 2. Restarted 13th. Next caution flew with 13 to go when the 3 spun in 2 and we just barley missed him. restarted 8th. Then as there was around 9 to go we were racing hard and clean with the 34 until the 1 car choose to make it three wide going down the front chute. No on gave a inch and something broke on the rear on the 1 and his axle fell out. Restarted 9th. The car was pretty good all around tonight so we felt good about that. With the last green flag laps left the 51 was a little loose on exit. We managed to race really hard up to the front and wound up with a 5th. We put the car on the trailer and we'll take it.

 5/24 Feature Started 4th finshed 7th

34,11,05,9,50,2,51,21,52,94,04,93,3,6,91,57,25,1,82

Heat  started 2nd finished 3rd

Over all this week coming up to this weekend felt pretty good for the 51 team. We work hard in the shop this week to try to figure out the reason behind a ill handling car the week before, ( reaon for no posting last weeks results and comments) We

had found out the some of the numbers were a bit off on the scales and the frame heights were not were they needed to be so be ajust for that, also teammate 52 was in the shop with heavy handling work being done to it.

First rounds of practice went well for the 51 as they were 5th quickest on the board. the car seemed very stable on entry and exit.

As we went out with the same setup as the first round of practice for the second, the car seemed to not be as good. the rubber from the supers must have been screwing things up for the regular divison so we ajusted for that.

The heat race was pretty uneventful until the 52 spun coming into turn 3. From my point of view it looked as if the 9 car had gotten a little bit of the 52 corner and it was fro the lead and no one lifted or gave a inch so the 52 went around tough break.

Once again our mini race went green to checker for the 5 time this season out of 7 races. Can't ever remeber that happening in years. But anyway as the race went on from our 4th starting spot it seemed as if the car continued to fade more and more creating a bad push. The race was a good tough race but pretty uneventful. a few cars got by us because of the push but we were able to hang on for a great 7th place finish. Just wanted to say congrats to team mate sean for scoreing his first top top of the season by finshing 9th..

Feature started 4th finished 16th (05,11,18,9,94,21,1,3,04,53,17,93,6,52,50,51,30,2,57,24,88,91,34,12

Once again we started in 4th position and felt confident. As the race started we slowly got shuffled back to the 6th position where we ran for a good six laps with the 11,04, and 05. When the first caution flag waved it seemed that the 91 had blown a rearend. As the clean up on the track was almost done I had come to the conclusion that the car was tight in corner entry and exit. When the race resumed on one restart there was a big pile up on three and four we all checked up and I got into the back of the 05, which caused some front end damage. For some reason over the radio other cars were getting told to go by me under the yellow. Yet we still don't know the reason why we were told to go to the rear, because we weren't an accident car. And if it wasnt for that we would still have a car in one piece. With six laps to go the 50 and the 52 car were bumping and rubbing in front of us, they got together as the 50 spun the 52. We went high and the 50 car drilled us in the door and drove us into the wall. That was the end of our night. Our car has some serious frame and suspension damage. We will be in the garage a lot this week. Tough break for the ADP rivet cars.

Heat Started 3rd Finished 3rd ( 34,05,51,21,53,52,94)

As the first rounds of practice kicked off the 51 was 8th fastest overall. The car had right front chatter due to a loose wheel bearing, we fixed the issues. Second round of practice went well the 51 was a little loose coming out of corner exit. We were 9th fastest overall. As the heat race begun we started in the 3rd position behind the 52 ADP car. When the green flag flew, we managed to work our way around the 52 car to take the lead. We stretched it out to about 4 car lengths before the car started to create a push on corner exit. The 34 car closed the gap with 3 laps remaining. With the 05 in tow, with 2 laps remaining the 34 got underneath us and we raced the 34 and 05 to the final laps. Eventually, we dropped behind the 05 into our finishing position of third.

5/3 Feature started 4th finished 5th.(93,50,11,91,51,12,1,05,94,3,53,04,21,30,52,57,34,2,24,9)

Yet again the mini stocks went green to checker, caution free. Starting on the second row outside the 51 felt very confident on his starting position. Just before the feature we made a spring change preparing for what the track was going to be like. As the green flag flew we managed to work our way up to second. Eight laps in the car went from loose to neutral and we began to run fast times. As our car began to tighten up we seemed to be able to run the bottom and the top at consistent speeds. At one point 51,11,12 went three wide down the back shoot. The 11 got by us at that point, but we continued to battle with the 12 for the remainder of the race. Overall, we seem to be getting better over the weeks and we will be looking for that #1 spot very soon. Our boy soup checked out from all of us, congrats to him and his team on their first win of 08.

5/3 Heat started 6th finished 5th.

First round of practice went well. The 51 team had fixed problems from the week before and we seemed on point. The car was just a touch loose on corner entry, and a touch tight on corner exit. Overall, the first round of practice went well with lap times of 17.6 range. Second round of practice went even better the 51 had snugged up the car in corner entry and freed it up in corner exit.

Heat Race: Due to this weekends touring division we had not thought about the extra rubber that would be on the track. We made slight adjustments after the second practice round to try and make the car even better, and we went a little too far with it. The car had a really bad push on corner exit. Tough break for the 51 team considering we thought we had a top 5 race car.

 4/26 Started 15th finshed 10th  (34,11,18,12,05,9,21,91,50,51,53,2,93,94,52,0,1,04,57,6,30,3)

As we came out this week things seemed to be on for us. The car was a little bit loose coming in and tight coming off. Off the course of the practice we adjusted for that. As we knew it was going to be cold later in the night, we didn't over adjust to make sure the car wasn't too free in entry and exit. The heat race was pretty much uneventfull finshing in the 5th spot. As the feature time came around it got really cold. Luckily then we set the car up more free than tight. As the race went on (Green to checker for 2 weeks in a row) the car got better and better. As there were only a handfull of laps left i felt like we could have a winning car. But to our dismay there was not cautions to catch up the leaders. So we wound up 10th, Not too bad. Much more room for improvement. We are getting better and better each week and looking for the podium finish very soon.

4/19 feature started 17th finished 13

Finished ( 05,11,50,21,93,1,3,34,91,88,2,53,51,94,52,04,6,30,57,12,9

As before we had not had the right pressure gauge and the car was well over compensated for it not correct, the car was pretty bad all night long. We were just trying to hang onto the car for the race. We'll be back next week on our game, we will also be at practice on thursday to shake this thing down.

4/19 Heat Started 7 Finshed 7th

The first rounnds of practice were not good. When the 51 was going out for the first partice we had ignition problems,  which made us unable to make it out. For the second round of practice the car was crazy tight in the center and out which wasn't good. When we came to make ajustments, we noticed (as in the same with the 51 mod) we had a bad tire presssure gauge. Now since this has been bad we had way over compensated for this for our heat which also made it bad. So in return we finshed 7th which made our handicap horrible.

 4/13 Feature Finished 6th Out Of 18.

 (05,11,91,12,50,51,3,94,1,2,04,21,9,52,34,30,53,93)

In the feature, the 51 started 15th, due to a poor qualifying spot. As the features were moved around because of the rain, we ran 3rd in the line up as the nemas didn't finish. When the green flag flew, the 51 started to run up there. We went for about 14 laps before any caution was thrown. The first was when two cars got together coming down the front shute and landed in the mud of the infield. We sat in 10th. Then, the next few laps in was caution after caution. We seemed to move up slowly and surely. The car was pretty good  all day long. As  the green flag flew again, we got some better racing in. The 51 was running up front in the 5th spot, battling with some of the best. With two laps remaining, another caution flew for cars spining on the front and back shute. Restarted in 6th and hung on the outside for the remainder of the race. The car was pretty good, considering it was a new car. Next week we will be back in action when the near racers return to the bowl and regualar Saturday night racing begins..

4/12  Heat Race finish (11,12,05,53,34,93,51,94)

The 51 showed out a little late Saturday morning because of the threat of rain. We missed the first and only practice for the day. That was not the best start. We drew chip number 44 for starting position which was a bad number (Out of 50). So we started in the rear of our heat. The heat was pretty much uneventfull. The hard hitters checked out was early on as we could get past the slower cars to race with them. The car felt good and ran okay, but some minor changes were needed before the feature the next day.

4/5

The 51 showed up to the track around 1:00 saturday afternoon. The car counts seemed up for all the divisons. The 51 unloaded and released the new car for 08. They were hoping to be fast out of the box.

First round of practice went well. Nothing broke or had any failure. Our goal was reached for the first round. The times were unimpressive considering the car was brand new and has never hit the track. The car handled okay, but was tight in and loose out, so ajustments were made.

Our 2nd round of practice was again uneventfull. The car was still not even close to where we wanted it to be. We chose to make a a few little adjustments to see if that would work. The adjustments didnt seem to help the 51 though entry and exit.

The 3rd round of practice we chose to throw some big changes to the car.We made a huge spring change. We went out for the round and it seemed like the car seem to get better and better as more and more laps were put on the car. The car was running consistant times of 17.7, which isn't bad considering the car has only been on the track 3 times.

The 4th round we decided to make an even bigger spring change. That seemed to do the trick, the car was very settled in the entry and exit. Mark seemed to be pleased with the performance of the car. The lap time's were between 17.7 and 17.6.

The 5th and final round of practice for the 51 mini was the final round for the track. The officials let mark run alone for 5 laps. It seemed as if the car was getting better and better as the day went on. Overall, the car and our mission was complete for what we came to do and that was to shake down the car.Check back next weekend for the BUD> Nationals. Friday kicks off with practice, Saturday is quailifyng, and Sunday the feature races.
